As per the email sent to one customer by Mobvoi, a new Tic Watch is on its way and will be released soon. The email says, “….our new advanced product TicWatch is about to be released”.
A few key specs are also revealed in the email, which mentions that the new TicWatch will have a premium design, NFC Support by Google Pay, GPS, Speaker, and Microphone. Besides, it also features an AFib detection feature which indicates the possibility of an ECG sensor on the new TicWatch.
We hope that the new flagship TicWatch will be using Wear OS 3.0 to join with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and recently launched Montblanc Summit 3. The upcoming Google Pixel Watch is also rumored to come with the latest version of Wear OS in the 2H22.
FEATURES AND SPECS OF UPCOMING TCIWATCH
- Premium Design
- Long Battery Life
- NFC Payment support via Google Pay
- IP 68 water resistance
- Speaker and Microphone
- New IHB/AFiB detection
- Fatigue Detection Feature
The email does not mention anything about the price. However, it seems like it won’t be an affordable smartwatch because of its features. The current TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS is priced at $299, and it features Wear OS 2.33 and Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 with 1G RAM and 8G ROM.
The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS also detects irregular HR and Afib but does not have an ECG. However, the “New IHB/AFiB detection” in the email suggests the addition of ECG features to join with other FDA Approved ECG watches such as the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, Fitbit Sense, and Apple Watch Series 7.
The “Improved premium design” and “flagship model’ lines from the email also suggest that the new TicWatch could have a similar but improved design language as the TicWatch Pro 3.
