At their Galaxy Unpacked event on August 10th, Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy Watch 5 and 5 Pro. The Galaxy Watch 5 is said to feature a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display and a Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor. It will be available in Bluetooth and LTE versions, with the latter offering eSIM support.
A few weeks ago, popular tech leaker Jon Prossier posted a few details about the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 on Twitter. He said the Galaxy Watch 5 would come in two sizes – 40mm and 44mm, and also, the Watch 5 Pro will be available in 46mm size. He also mentioned the launch date of the smartwatch, and now it turned out to be true.

Alongside, Samsung may also announce foldable smartphones such as Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Fold 4. The event will be held at 9 am ET and live-streamed on the company’s website. You can watch it here.
Samsung regularly releases smartwatches every year, and the Galaxy Watch 3 Classic and Galaxy Watch 3 were launched last year in August. Samsung introduced the Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) sensor with the Galaxy Watch 3 to measure body composition. FDA Approved ECG, SpO2, and BP monitoring are the other health features of the Galaxy Watch series.
The new smartwatches are likely to come with these health-centric features as well, and this time they may add skin temperature monitoring to the list.
It is not yet clear if Samsung will make any design changes to the smartwatch. The company is also expected to announce new wireless earbuds at the event on August 10th. Stay tuned for updates.
On top of that, a new beta update for the Samsung Health app has listed Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy 5 Pro under the accessories page. Gadgetsandwearables initially spotted the update. This confirms that there is no Classic variant this time, and the Watch 4 Classic will be the last one in the series.

91 Mobiles and Evans Blass have today shared renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 in its full glory. The Galaxy Watch 5 renders show the watch from all angles, and it looks very similar to the Galaxy Watch 4 that was launched last year.
As seen in the renders, the new Galaxy Watch 5 will have a circular dial with a larger bezel, and the Galaxy Watch 5 will have a Digital Bezel, just like the Galaxy Watch 4 for the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
Both the watches may offer LTE and non-LTE variants. We do not have other confirmed information about the specifications or features of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 5, but we will keep you updated as soon as we have more information.
